Passive Fire Protection works were completed at Newcastle University’s Student Uni’s Bar.
Works were carried out in the kitchen, cellar, stairwells etc. to ensure that the buildings fire compartmentation was compliant.
This project had the problem of allowing Student flow around a busy area of the University but also allowing essential works to proceed. The works were managed by careful planning with Student Reps, Newcastle Universities estates dept and the staff on site.
This project was a great success in a difficult area and lead to several other projects being completed on this site.
