Overview:
Passive Fire Protection works were carried out at Rose Castle, Dalston. The works were carried out in conjunction with Lambert Gill and English Hertiage to satisfy complex compliance issues.
As you can imagine, satisfying English Hertiage criteria whilst also trying to meet fire regulations was quite a challenge. These issues were solved by collectively meeting with the fire protection manufacturer, English Heritage, Local building control and the client in an effort to resolve and find bespoke acceptable ‘best practice’ firestopping solutions that could be signed off as Non-Standard details to create a seal.
This was achieved and the project went ahead on time and on budget.
